Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Teleprompter Mirror Pro app and this website. They are written to be read, not to be survived — but they are still a contract, so please read them.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using the Teleprompter Mirror Pro application, or by using the website at telepromptermirrorpro.com including the free online teleprompter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. What we provide

We provide a teleprompter application for mobile devices that lets you write, import, edit, read, record and export scripts and video, together with a marketing website and a free browser teleprompter tool. The app is designed to run locally: it does not require an account, and it does not upload the content you create.

3. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, in accordance with these terms and with the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. You may use the app for personal and commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the app;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or redistribute the app;
  • remove or obscure any proprietary notice; or
  • use the app in breach of any applicable law.

4. Your content

Everything you write, import, record or export using the app is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence over it. Because it never leaves your device, we do not host it, moderate it, back it up or have any means of accessing it.

You are responsible for your content: for having the rights to any material you import, for the lawfulness of anything you record, and for keeping your own copies. We cannot recover your scripts or recordings if your device is lost, damaged or reset, or if you uninstall the app. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app or the website to:

  • create or distribute material that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes another person’s rights;
  • record any person without a consent or legal basis that your jurisdiction requires;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
  • interfere with, probe or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or to another user’s device; or
  • use automated means to abuse the support form or overload the website.

Recording laws differ by country and by state, particularly for recording other people. Meeting them is your responsibility.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription on a weekly, monthly or yearly term. Prices shown on this website are in US dollars and are indicative; the price you pay is the one your app store shows in your own currency, inclusive of any applicable tax, before you confirm.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account on confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription in your store account settings after purchase.
  • Any free trial or introductory offer is defined at the point of sale by the store. Where a store requires it, an unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

We do not process payments and do not hold your payment details. Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under its policy — see our refund policy.

7. Free tier and limits

A substantial part of the app is free to use indefinitely, including the teleprompter, the script editor, importing, folders, mirror mode and manual and timed scrolling, with no watermark. The free tier includes a limited number of recording sessions, currently one. Pro features are listed on the pricing page. We may change what is included in the free tier for new installs; we will not remove a Pro feature you are currently paying for during a period you have already paid.

8. Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features, and we may release updates. Some capabilities depend on your device’s hardware and operating system — for example on-device AI drafting, speech recognition languages and maximum recording resolution — and are not guaranteed on every device. We may discontinue the app, in which case we will give reasonable notice and you will not be charged for a renewal after that notice.

9. Third parties

Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the app store you downloaded it from. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms, are not responsible for the app, and have no obligation to provide support for it. To the extent the App Store requires it, Apple is a third party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If you configure an API key for a third-party AI provider, your use of that provider is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy, and any charges it makes are between you and it.

10. Intellectual property

The app, the website, their design, their code and the Teleprompter Mirror Pro name and logo are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the licence in section 3. Apple, App Store, Google, Google Play and other marks are the property of their respective owners, and we are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them.

11. Disclaimers

The app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that voice matching will be accurate for every voice, accent, language or environment, or that it will meet your requirements.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law in your country.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, recordings or scripts, arising from or relating to your use of the app or the website.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of the app or website, or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 4, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 survive termination. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law or by the store’s policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, or of your right to bring proceedings there.
