Where does the AI script generation actually happen?

On your phone, wherever the hardware supports it. On recent iPhones the app uses Apple’s built-in on-device foundation model, so the topic you type and the draft it produces never leave the handset. Every draft is labelled with where it was written, so you always know.

What if my device cannot run the on-device model?

The app falls back gracefully. Older hardware gets a structured starter outline generated locally — a hook, the body beats and a closing call to action — so you always get something to edit rather than an error message.

What can I ask it to write?

Give it a topic and pick a format and length. It handles explainers, promos, talking-head intros, product walkthroughs, course modules and social scripts, in lengths from a thirty-second short to a several-minute piece.

Is the draft ready to record straight away?

Treat it as a first draft, not a final one. It arrives structured and in a speakable register rather than in essay prose, but the fastest route to a good video is still to rewrite it in your own voice — which is exactly what the built-in editor is for.

Does it stream as it writes?

Yes. The text appears as it is generated rather than after a spinner, so a multi-second generation reads as progress. What you see is the real token stream, not a typing animation replaying finished text.

Is the AI writer included for free?

It is part of Pro. Writing and importing scripts by hand is free and unlimited.
